Aesthetic Body Contouring for Your Well-being
Sport and a healthy diet promote a firm and defined body. Nevertheless, stubborn fat deposits or loose skin areas often remain that cannot be shaped. This can lead to dissatisfaction with one’s appearance. However, with the help of modern aesthetic body contouring and various tightening methods, you can achieve a body in which you feel comfortable.
Through ultrasound waves, radiofrequency energy, cold, and other methods, fat cells can be specifically treated and the skin tightened. These gentle and safe treatments are often possible in a single session, after which you can immediately resume your daily routine.
Liposuction (Fat Removal)
Liposuction is a proven method for removing stubborn fat deposits. With fine cannulas, fat cells are suctioned from under the skin, which can lead to a positive change in body image. This method is ideal for treating problem areas, but it is not a substitute for weight loss.
Methods of Liposuction:
- Water-jet assisted liposuction: This method uses a fine water jet to gently loosen and suction the fat cells.
- Ultrasound-assisted liposuction: Here, fat cells are liquefied by ultrasound waves before they are suctioned.
- Vibration-assisted liposuction: This technique uses fine cannulas that are vibrated to loosen and suction fat cells.
- Radiofrequency-assisted liposuction: Radiofrequency energy is used to melt fat cells and simultaneously tighten the skin.
- Laser-assisted liposuction: A laser beam is used to liquefy fat cells, which allows for precise suction and supports skin tightening.
Dr. Richter and Dr. Wiedner individually select the best method for you.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
During a tummy tuck, Dr. Richter and Dr. Wiedner remove excess tissue and fat from the abdomen, leading to a firmer appearance. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and medical supervision after the procedure. Tummy tucks can include various techniques:
- Full Abdominoplasty: Here, a horizontal incision is made in the lower abdominal area, often from hip to hip, to remove excess skin and fat and tighten the abdominal muscles. The navel is repositioned.
- Mini Abdominoplasty: This technique is suitable for patients with less excess skin. The incision is shorter, and the navel usually does not need to be repositioned.
- Fleur-de-Lis Abdominoplasty: Here, in addition to the horizontal incision, a vertical incision is made to remove more skin and improve contour, especially in patients with significant excess skin.
Depending on the patient, abdominal muscles and abdominal wall hernias can also be corrected, which is referred to as abdominoplasty in medicine.
Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
An arm lift removes excess skin and fat tissue from the upper arms, which often occurs after significant weight loss or with decreasing skin elasticity due to aging. This operation can help you achieve firmer and more aesthetically pleasing upper arms. Arm lifts can include various techniques:
- Standard Brachioplasty: A long incision is made on the inside of the upper arm from the armpit to the elbow. This allows for the removal of excess skin and fat, as well as the tightening of the remaining tissue.
- Mini Brachioplasty: This technique is suitable for patients with less excess skin. The incision is shorter and focuses on the upper part of the upper arm.
- Extended Brachioplasty: In cases of significant excess skin, the incision can be extended to the lateral chest wall to achieve a more comprehensive result.
Dr. Richter and Dr. Wiedner decide on the appropriate method depending on the individual situation, be it pure liposuction or a combination with other surgical procedures.
Thigh Lift (Thighplasty)
The classic thigh lift addresses excess skin and fat tissue on the inner thighs. This surgical procedure can be combined with other corrections such as body lifting or liposuction. Dr. Richter and Dr. Wiedner perform this operation only on patients in good health.
Thigh Lift Techniques:
- Medial Thigh Lift: An incision is made along the inner side of the thigh, usually from the groin to the knee, to remove excess skin and fat tissue and tighten the remaining skin.
- Lateral Thigh Lift: As part of a posterior body lift, the sagging lateral thigh tissue is repositioned upwards over the hips to achieve comprehensive tightening and contouring. This technique is often part of a circumferential body lift.
Non-Surgical Tightening Methods
- Ultrasound Waves: This method uses sound waves to destroy fat cells and tighten the skin.
- Radiofrequency Energy: We apply the radiofrequency technique in two different ways. Using fine microneedles in the skin to heat deeper skin layers and stimulate collagen production, which leads to skin tightening, or using special applicators under the skin to tighten the connective tissue fibers of the fat tissue from within.
- Cold Treatment (Cryolipolysis): This method freezes fat cells, which then burst and are slowly broken down by the body in the following weeks, without damaging the surrounding tissue.
